Connectors

If you ever read the wisdom of Macolm Gladwell in his book "The Tipping Point", he classifies people in a variety of subsets. As I trudge through this very turbulent era, I have found the most important of these personnas are the Connectors.

Connectors are the people who "link us up with the world ... people with a special gift for bringing the world together."

Or in short, the people who know people.

Gladwell goes on to tell the story of Paul Revere and his infamous ride. Back in colonial America, Revere was the Brad Pitt of New England. He made it a point to belong to a variety of causes, social clubs and political parties. As a result of his networking prowess, his huge rolodex may have saved this nation.

So get out there and have lunch, coffee, a donut or whatever it takes to get to the Connectors. If you are one yourself, flex those social muscles and make an impact in someone else's life. It all comes back.

Get on that horse and ride because you never know when you'll need to make a midnight run.
